Not much to report from this last weekend. I worked almost all day on Saturday, and a good portion of Sunday. It's all part of my plan to put some weekday snowboarding time in the bank. I'm hoping to be on the slopes for the next big snowfall.

Kristen and I did manage to make it out to do some furniture shopping on Sunday. My work has been a bit shaky lately, so with that in mind we've decided slow down the new house search. We'll resume the search once things look more stable, or we win the lottery.

My 14 year old couch has seen better days, and our motley crew of random furniture has been begging for a trip to the Salvation Army for quite some time. We hit all the big furniture showrooms, and saw the full spectrum of furniture quality and price-wise.

We found some furniture that we both liked, and that looked nothing like a cat scratch post. It should show up in 8 to 12 weeks, so that gives us some time to repaint the place and put some new carpet in. The carpet in particular is in rough shape, so it'll be nice to replace that.

It's funny how the simple task of finding a new coffee table can spiral out of control.
